I don’t know about the rest of the world’s football fans, or its Christians for that matter, but until Tim Tebow dies on a cross and rises three days later to redeem mankind?… I won’t be convinced!
In the mean time, I’d be happy just to see him hit a receiver in the numbers on a drag route!
And all the people in my house said a’men, a’men and a’men!
Hi BJ,
As a sports fan, I bristle at all attempts to link faith with performance on the field. I didn’t like it when Reggie White preached it after a game and the same goes for Tebow.
Faith should be a personal thing, so If I’m hearing a sermon, I’d better be sitting in a pew!

Ha, ha! I’m with you!
Faith is indeed a personal thing; and most effective (I believe) when it is silent.
I’m just glad no players took it upon themselves to start erecting sacrificial alters in the end zone?!
Enjoyed reading your post yesterday(The Upside of Timidity) and will share my thoughts soon.
Take care,
BJ
