The act or process by which a person or persons, typically Washingtonians — but could be any individual or group elected or appointed by a like individual or group to an esteemed position or office — feign to absolutely know what must be done to solve a particular problem or achieve a particular goal until such time as they are placed in the position or office and must solve the problem or achieve the goal. Unfortunately, there is no cure for it; but there is a remedy!
