Course Description:

This course introduces the fundamentals of American political thought from the colonial era to the present. Topics include discussions pertaining to:

1. POLITICS, n. A conflict of interests masquerading as a contest of principles where all matters of public affairs are for private advantage.

2. POLITICIANS, n. Leeches in the fundamental mud upon which the super-structure of a quasi-organized society is built.

3. THE PRESIDENCY, n. The greased pig in the field game of American politics.

Students are expected to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the subject matter – as either its perpetrators or its victims.
